Bayern Munich's Italian striker Luca Toni admits he was surprised to see Inter Milan sack coach Roberto Mancini.

"It's strange to sack a Coach who has won three Scudetti after a period when the club hadn't won much," he said.

"There must have been some friction in his relationship with the dressing room or with somebody else. He certainly wasn't fired because of his results."
