Tokyo FC striker Yoshinori Muto has chosen Mainz over Chelsea this summer.

Mainz have signed FC Tokyo striker and former Chelsea target Muto on a four-year contract.

Muto is said to have rejected the chance to join Chelsea because of fears over a lack of regular game-time.

Jose Mourinho previously revealed that his side were keen on signing Muto because of "commercial interests".
