Former Manchester City defender Pablo Mari has emerged as one of the most decorated players from this past Brazilian season.

Mari helped Flamengo win the Copa Libertadores final against River Plate before Fla also clinched the Brasileiro title.

With the championship over, the Spaniard was also recognised amongst the individual awards.

Mari was named Best Defender for the championship and also made the Team of the Year.

The stopper's season isn't over, however, with Fla to play in the Club World Cup in Qatar later this month.
