Timothy Fosu-Mensah asks for time to consider Man Utd contract offer

Timothy Fosu-Mensah is keeping Manchester United waiting over their new contract offer.

Fosu-Mensah has reportedly told Manchester United he needs time before deciding whether he wants to sign a new contract. The club recently tabled an extension - believed to be a three-year deal - to Fosu-Mensah but he is yet to decide whether he wants to stay at the club, says the Daily Express.

Fosu-Mensah is back in from the cold, following a quiet few years at United.

He first came onto the scene under Louis van Gaal and earned several appearances under his compatriot.

Jose Mourinho also called upon him as United won the Europa League in 2017.

Following loan spells with Crystal Palace and Fulham, where he suffered a knee ligament injury.
