Tim Krul says joining Norwich City has rescued his career.
Krul's best days looked behind him after a bit-part role at Brighton following his release from Newcastle, but the impressive keeper is now a firm fans' favourite at Carrow Road.
“I am just pleased I have managed to get back to the level I felt I was at before in my career," he told Match of the Day magazine. “I am at a great club, I have a great connection with the fans.
“I had a great conversation with the national team boss and he was very impressed with what I had done in the past two seasons. Obviously the Euros, if they had taken place this summer, would have meant three amazing home games for Holland in Amsterdam.
"That would have been something to look forward to. But there are more important things happening at the moment."
