Thuram cools Juventus talk for Man City boss Guardiola

Lilian Thuram has admitted he thinks it is unlikely that Pep Guardiola will depart Manchester City this summer and manage at Italian champions Juventus.

Guardiola has now led City to back-to-back Premier League titles; the first time that any team has achieved such a feat since Manchester United in 2009. However, the departure of Massimilano Allegri threw the long-term future of the Spaniard into doubt.

But Thuram feels that it is unlikely that he opts to leave the Etihad. He said: "Guardiola is a great manager, but I think he's not going to leave Manchester City honestly."

The Frenchman won two Serie A titles with the Italian giants, and while he may not know the man that will be at the helm next season; he doesn't doubt the club will find the right man.

He continued: "Juve won a lot of titles in Serie A in a row thanks to a really good manager. And I'm sure the next manager of Juventus will be another great one. The club know what to do as always."
