Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Thorgan Hazard admits he had a big say on Michy Batshuayi's arrival.

The Chelsea striker is on-loan to the end of the season at BVB.

The pair are friends thanks to their involvement in Belgium's various national teams.

"Michy asked me about the league, the teams and the stadiums. I told him that the Bundesliga is a good destination and BVB certainly a good choice for him," said Hazard.

Batshuayi's six month loan is worth €5m and the striker said: "People took me in really well and gave me their confidence right away. And it is a great incentive for me to repay that on the pitch."
