Thomas Partey has extended his contract with Atletico Madrid until 2023.

The youth product has gradually emerged as a important player in the middle of the pitch for Diego Simeone's side.

"I am very happy to renew my deal with the club of my life, I hope to stay here more years and help the club," he said.

"I try to work hard, it is not easy to get to the first team and for me it is pride to be working at this club.

"I am happy at the moment because I am playing a lot, the team is looking strong and scoring a lot of goals recently."
