Chelsea defender Thiago Silva is happy to continue to prove his doubters wrong with Brazil at the World Cup.
Silva left PSG in favour of Chelsea in 2020, and the defensive general continues to deliver.
"It was a tough time when I left PSG. Although I was sure my qualities were intact, I know that others doubted me and whether the decision to switch to Chelsea was the right one," he recalled.
"It culminated in us winning the Champions League in 2021. It was the perfect way to disprove people who doubted.
"Brazilian football has the ability to produce a lot of new talents. Every year, new stars emerge in the clubs and it ends up affecting the national team.
"At each position there are three or four players of the highest quality. It was not easy for Professor Tite to select the team. Compared to 2018, I think we are more mature. We are a really strong group and are very focused on achieving our goals."
