Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has revealed that Lionel Messi is devastated following the loss in the Copa America Centenario final.

Argentina suffered a penalties defeat at the hands of Chile in the final of the Copa America once again and Messi was one of the players who failed to convert from the spot, skying his penalty in the 4-2 shootout loss in New Jersey.

Following the defeat, Messi broke down in tears and soon after shocked the world by announcing his decision to retire from international football.

Now striker Aguero has gone on to reveal that Messi is devastated by his penalty miss and added that he has not seen the Barcelona superstar in a worse condition.

Aguero said: "Lamentably, the most f----- up is Leo because of the penalty.

"It's the worst I've seen him in the dressing room."
