Liverpool's sometimes midfielder Lazar Markovic has earned a staggering £11m from his contract with the Reds.
The Liverpool Echo says Markovic signed a contract described as "long term" when he was first bought by the Reds and now has eight months remaining on his reported £50,000-a-week deal.
Since he last featured for the Reds, Liverpool have roughly paid Markovic an eye-watering £9.25million.
Across the course of his contract, the wideman has earned over £11m, with his 34 appearances working out at around £332,000 a game.
His four loan spells are likely to have somewhat subsidised the winger's wages, but it remains a remarkable cost for a player who hasn't played since Brendan Rodgers was still six months away from the Liverpool sack.
