Chelsea captain John Terry has labelled teammate Didier Drogba as the best striker in the world.
The Ivorian star netted the winner in the Blues FA Cup semi-final triumph over Arsenal to give him eight goals in his last nine appearances, prompting Terry to hand him the ultimate compliment.
"Didier has been in great form of late and long may that continue," said Terry.
}| "Because when he plays like that even if you're the strongest defender in the Premiership or the world you are not going to get near him. He pins people back - he was chucking big defenders on the floor.
"His link-up play is good and we saw in the end he's got a great finish as well. Long may his goals continue.
"Early on in the season we had Nicolas Anelka's goals, Frank Lampard contributes an awful lot, Florent Malouda popped up with one today and now at the back end of the season Didier is banging them in.
"On that form he's the best in the world for me. I've played against an awful lot of strikers and he's definitely up there with the best."
