Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag was pleased with their 3-0 Carabao Cup quarterfinal win against Charlton Athletic.
Marcus Rashford (2) and Antony struck for the hosts.
Ten Hag later said: "I said before the game, 'no ifs, buts or maybes', we have to be in that semi-final and we did the job.
"The only thing I wasn't happy with was that we should have finished earlier by finding that key pass.
"I don't think we offered them too much and if we did then Tom Heaton was there.
"I think we should have finished it earlier on but the objective was to reach the semi so compliments to the team."
On substitutions impacting the match, he added: "That was the plan before, I had to bring them on to sustain the rhythm for the coming games.
"One of the qualities of this team is that the substitutes are ready to come on, contribute and play really well.
"Pellistri came on and was really lively, he had some good actions and got an assist."
