Incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants to give Andreas Pereira a chance to prove himself in preseason.
Pereira's future remains up in the air, with a potential permanent move to Flamengo looking set to fall through after he fell out of favour with the Brazilian club.
Reports in Brazil have suggested Palmeiras could now be in the hunt for the midfielder, although local journalist Jorge Nicola claims Ten Hag, who will leave Ajax for United in June, wants to take a look at him first.
With his move to Flamengo seemingly collapsing, Pereira will head back to Old Trafford at the end of his loan, with Palmeiras said to be interested in taking him on another loan next season.
Ten Hag has long been aware of Pereira after his time in Holland with PSV Eindhoven.
