Former Barcelona and Ajax coach Henk ten Cate has warned Antony to cut out the showboating at Manchester United.

Antony scored on debut in victory over Arsenal, while the former Ajax star also enjoyed taunting the opposition at times when on the ball.

Ten Cate was unimpressed and says United boss Erik ten Hag should hold immediate talks with his newest recruit.

He said: “He is not really at the top yet. I measure that by the return that he had in the Dutch league [18 goals and 14 assists in 57 games]. That's a bit disappointing.

“In England, you get sawn off at your ankles. If I was his coach, I would tell him to stop doing that [showboating]."
