Television rights deal for Gulf Cup tournament

World Sport Group has secured television rights deals in Oman and Bahrain for the Gulf Cup tournament, reports SportsPro. The Singapore-based agency, which owns the media rights to the eight-team international competition, has agreed terms with Bahrain TV Sports Channel to show the tournament in its host nation and with Oman TV for live coverage in Oman.

Deals had already been reached with the likes of Al Kass Channel, Abu Dhabi Sports Channel, Dubai Sports Channel, Saudi Sports Channel, and Kuwait Sports Channel.

The 21st edition of the Gulf Cup will be played in Bahrain from 5th to 18th January, with hosts Bahrain and holders Kuwait joined by Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates.
