West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has guaranteed Filipe Teixeira he will get a chance.
The 29-year old Portuguese midfielder has struggled for regular first team football at The Hawthorns in recent times but Di Matteo has told him not to get his head down and work hard for another opportunity.
"He played in the Carling Cup where we went down to 10 men," said the Baggies head coach.
"He's in my mind and he will get a chance.
"He is training well but we have a lot of similar players in that position.
"Players who are in front of him have been doing well.
"Filipe's a very good professional, I have to say. I will give people a chance when the time comes along."
