Teenage Arsenal keeper Vickers opts for Swansea berth

Arsenal academy product Josh Vickers has joined Swansea City on a two-year deal.

The 19 year old follows the returning Gerhard Tremmel, and Swede Kristoffer Nordfeldt, who joined from Heerenveen.

"I'm really pleased to have signed my contract with the club," said Vickers, who has been on trial at Swansea.

Vickers was coached at Arsenal by Tony Roberts, now Swansea's goalkeeping coach, and worked alongside new Swans team-mate Lukasz Fabianski.

"It's going to be great to work with Tony and Lukasz again and everyone has welcomed me really well," he said.
