Steven Taylor insists spirit remains strong inside Newcastle United.

Taylor vowed that the players would remain united after the departure of Yohan Cabaye to Paris Saint-Germain and Joe Kinnear's resignation as director of football.

He said: "It's just the media and speculation and what everybody wants to write about that is causing a few things.

"They can say what they want but the players and the coaching staff are just going to stick together because we are in it together."
