James Tarkowski believes it is time for Burnley's attackers to start doing their part.

While the Clarets have improved on a very poor start to the season, it is largely due to their defensive improvements.

But Tarkowski knows that his side must do more in an attacking sense if they are to have a great league season.

"We've restricted the goals going in to the back of our net which at the start of the season was a problem," said Tarkowski to the Lancashire Telegraph.

"That's obviously improved and now we need to improve on our forward play a bit more and try keeping the ball. Seven points from our last three games is a positive when you're not playing great.

"I think we've always been good at coming away with points when we've not been at our best. That's a part of what we're about but we'd much prefer to be performing well every week and winning."
