Tanaka scores late goal as Nagoya Grampus see off FC Tokyo

Japan international Marcus Tulio Tanaka netted a late goal to give Nagoya Grampus a narrow 1-0 win over FC Tokyo in the J-League on the weekend.

Tanaka scored in the 90th minute of the match at Tokyo's Anjinimoto Stadium to hand his side an important win.

Elsewhere in Japan, Albirex Niigata defeated Kyoto Sanga 2-0 away from home, Omiya Ardija beat Shonan Bellmare 3-0, Shimzi S-Pulse defeated league leaders Kashima Antlers 2-1, Gamba Osaka won 2-0 at Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Yokohama Marinos edged Vegalta Sendai 1-0, Montedio Yamagata grabbed a 1-0 win over Jubilo Iwata, Vissel Kobe narrowly defeated Urawa Reds 1-0 and Cerezo Osaka and Kawasaki Frontale played out a scoreless draw.
