Tammy Abraham opens up on dream Chelsea season

Tammy Abraham has opened up about the dream debut season he has enjoyed with Chelsea.

The 22-year-old striker has been a revelation under Frank Lampard, becoming the first choice no.9 for the team.

He knows he must improve to help the team to Premier League glory in the future. But he is delighted at how things have gone so far.

He said, per the Mirror: "I think I've had a few [highlights this season]. Scored my first goal for England, my first Premier League hat trick and I scored against Arsenal and I feel that's my biggest highlight because my family grew up being massive Arsenal fans and to score against Arsenal is a dream come true for me.

"I couldn't have asked for a better start to my Chelsea career. Give credit to my team mates and obviously the manager who showed massive belief in me as well.

"The incident did happen against Liverpool where I missed a penalty and received a lot of abuse but, for me, it's just like Michael Jordan - it's about coming out, proving them wrong and being at this club, being the main man, being the striker and if it's safe to do so I want to finish the job and move into the next season.

"If not, then go into the next season. But I miss football, just miss scoring goals, seeing the fans and being with my team mates, having a smile on my face."
