Tag Heuer has agreed a sponsorship deal with Major League Soccer (MLS) and US Soccer, reports, .
The Swiss watchmaker will become the official watch and timekeeper of MLS, whose Professional Referee Organisation (PRO) accredited officials will wear its Connected Watch products during matches and its logo on their uniforms. In addition, Tag Heuer branding will appear on substitution boards.
Tag Heuer will also serve as the official timekeeper of US Soccer.
"We are excited to welcome Tag Heuer to the North American soccer family," said MLS commissioner Don Garber.
"This is a premium, world class brand that has already aligned with other top leagues around the world. We think this partnership can be a catalyst for innovating how timekeeping works in global football. We look forward to working with them for many years to come."
US Soccer president Sunil Gulati added: "Tag Heuer has a longstanding connection to sports and an impressive history of creating precision watches used by high-level athletes across the globe.
