Szczesny looks to FA Cup to break Arsenal drought

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is targeting the FA Cup as a potential drought-breaker for the club.

The Gunners have not won any silverware since taking out the 2005 version of the famous cup competition and the Polish gloveman is determined to get past Swansea City in the third round replay tonight before pushing on to bigger and better things.

"We have already lost against them at the Emirates but we managed to get a draw [at the Liberty Stadium]," he told the club's official website.

"I hope we can qualify for the next round because we realise the FA Cup could be a massive chance to win a trophy this season.

"We need a trophy for everyone to start believing that this club and this team are good enough to win trophies again.

"To not win anything for seven years is not good enough; any trophy would do but we realise how important the FA Cup is for the fans. We would love to do it."
