Sydney FC sign Korean international Byun Sung-Hwan

Sydney FC have signed South Korean international Byun Sung-Hwan. The 29-year old has signed a two-year deal with the Sky Blues after impressing in a recent trial matches.

"He impressed (Lavicka) with his speed, ability to get up and down, and shoot with either foot," Sydney football manager David Mason said last night.

"He played a trial against Manly, scored the first goal and then spent a week here training. He really fitted in with the players. He's had seven seasons in the K-League (five with Ulsan) and represented his country at under-17 and under-20 level."

The left-back has spent his entire professional career in Korea, playing with Ulsan Hyundai, Busan I'Park and Jeju United.
