Ufuk Talay is due back in Australia in a few weeks after completing a long season with Japanese Club Avispa Fukuoka. The former Sydney FC star joined Avispa along with fellow Sydney FC team mate Mark Rudan after being lured there by another Sydney FC connection in former coaches Pierre Littbarski and Ian Crook.
The German World Cup winner Littbarski left Avispa a few months ago to head to Iran while former Tottenham and Norwich defender Crook has now taken up the reins of academy coach at Newcastle Jets.
The 32-year old Talay has played over 30 games for Avispa and is now looking to resume his Australian career in the A-League as soon as possible.
