Swindon Town are monitoring Tim Sherwood's situation at Tottenham.
The Daily Star says Swindon chairman Lee Power, who is a close friend of Sherwood, wants his pal to join him at the Wiltshire club.
It would be a huge step down for Sherwood, who was surprisingly given his first job as a coach by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy in December, following the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.
Sherwood has close links with Power, the former Norwich forward who previously spent time on the boards of Cambridge and Rushden & Diamonds.
It was Sherwood's friendship with Power that led to five Spurs players being sent on loan to the League One club last season - the maximum allowed under Football League regulations.
