Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof was missing for Sweden's Nations League qualifying defeat to Portugal.
Lindelof was left out due to fatigue.
The Manchester United defender will return to his club ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace in 10 days time.
Sweden boss Janne Andersson confirmed though that his absence was nothing alarming with the 26-year-old seeking some rest.
He said: "He [Lindelöf] played with Manchester United up until a few weeks ago and joined us after vacation.
"He was tired. We talked beforehand about him only playing one game. After the game against France, he felt very worn down."
