Swansea to take patient approach with Liverpool midfielder Allen

Swansea City will wait and see what comes of talks between Liverpool and Joe Allen before making a move for the midfielder.

The Wales international has been linked with a potential return to the Swans having starred for his country at Euro2016.

Doubts remain over Allen's future at Anfield, despite his selection in the Euros Team of the Tournament, and Swansea are keen to make a move but will be patient and wait to discover the outcome of his discussions with the Reds, according to Sky Sports.

Some reports suggest that Liverpool could be willing to sell for £14million which could be an issue for the South Wales outfit, considering they sold him for £15m four years ago.

Allen struggled for regular game time under Jurgen Klopp and could be lured back to the Liberty Stadium if the German cannot guarantee him more frequent action on Merseyside.

It is believed that Spanish club Sevilla are also monitoring the situation.
