Championship club Brentford are interested in signing Swansea City assistant manager Pep Clotet as their new manager, according to Sky Sports.
The Bees fired head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen in September and appointed youth manager Lee Carsley as his replacement on an interim basis.
Carsley's deal runs until the end of the season, and the hierarchy of the London outfit has chosen Clotet as a long-term candidate to lead the club.
The Bees are currently placed in 11th position in the Championship, seven points behind the play-off places.
