Swansea City are forming an official partnership with DC United.

Swans will form a close link with DC United in an effort to bring top American talent to the Liberty, says the South Wales Evening Post.

"The link to DC United is obviously a big thing," said Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins.

"It's difficult to bring young American players over because of the immigration rules, but I think there are opportunities if players become American internationals and they're linked to DC, we could possibly look at them here as well.

"But I'm sure Steve (Kaplan) and Jason would say that's not a priority in their decision making.

"The biggest thing of all is that when we go out on that pitch we're competitive."
