Swansea City have launched a surprise pursuit for Blackburn Rovers superstar Jordan Rhodes, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

The Swans are desperate to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window in their bid to avoid the drop this season and signing a new striker is a priority for the strugglers.

According to reports, it has been claimed that Swansea are considering a swoop for Rovers ace Rhodes and are ready to splash in excess of £10million to land the Scotland international.
