Swansea City face a battle to keep hold of manager Garry Monk's No2, Pep Clotet.
WalesOnline says Clotet has been reported as having been interviewed to take over as manager of Brentford as the Championship side seek a full-time replacement to Marinus Dijkhuizen who was axed 12 games into the season.
Lee Carsley is currently in charge of the Griffin Park outfit with a deal until the end of the season but, despite winning the Championship's manager of the month award for October, he has made it clear he wants to return to the club's development sides.
And it has been claimed that Clotet is leading the way to step in, with Walsall's Dean Smith and Gillingham's former Newport boss Justin Edinburgh being mentioned.
