Swansea City are eager to take Nicolas Gaitan off the hands of Atletico Madrid.
The Sun says Swansea have stepped up their shock loan pursuit of Gaitan and will offer the Atletico Madrid man £120,000 a week.
The Premier League's basement side are desperate to avoid relegation and recently had a managerial change, with Carlos Carvalhal replacing Paul Clement last month.
And Swans chairman Huw Jenkins is also keen to add to the squad and will make the 29-year-old Gaitan the club's best-paid player for the remainder of the season.
Jenkins also wanted to bring Gaitan's team-mate Kevin Gameiro to the Liberty Stadium but was turned down the Frenchman.
