Swansea defender Tate opens door to Crewe stay

Swansea City fullback Alan Tate is open to staying long-term with Crewe Alexandra.

Tate admits he doesn't expect to get a new deal with Swansea next summer and will assess his options in January when his loan deal expires.

"I've spoken to the manager briefly about it," Tate told The Sentinel.

"He asked me what my plans were when the loan finishes and plans for next season.

"I'm open to offers, I'll be leaving Swansea in the summer, so it's down to me.

But Crewe will be the front-runners because I'm here and I'm enjoying it. If I wasn't, then it would be different."
