Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley has no regrets leaving Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wanted promising defender Bartley to stay with the Gunners, but the ex-Rangers starlet opted to move on in a bid to gain regular first-team football.
Bartley said: "I've no regrets over leaving Arsenal because I believe everything happens for a reason.
"I still had a couple of years left on my contract and if I wanted to stay the option was there for me. But I wanted to go somewhere where I was more capable of playing games.
"My thigh injury hampered that earlier this season, but I want to kick on from here.
"I don't think I've anything to prove to Arsene.
"He knows what I'm capable of and the type of player I am. Unfortunately, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
