Swansea City are chasing Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez.

The Sun says Swansea are set for a stunning £7million deal to land the Argentinian.

Lopez, 27, and Swans defender Federico Fernandez know each other from the Argentina national team and both had loan spells with Getafe in Spain.

Now Swans boss Paul Clement wants them to form a central defensive partnership for struggling Swansea as he bloods Alfie Mawson, 23, who is in his rookie season in the Premier League after arriving from Barnsley.
