Swansea's proposed loan deal for Benfica defender Lisandro Lopez has been called off, according to Sky Sports.

Swans boss Paul Clement is keen to strengthen in defence and had been working on a deal for the 27-year-old to join for the rest of the campaign.

Lopez, who signed for Benfica from Getafe in 2014, has struggled for first-team appearances in Portugal this season.
