Swansea boss Monk careful not to gamble with Michu fitness

Swansea City boss Garry Monk won't ask too much from Michu this weekend against West Bromwich Albion.

Michu has not played since the 1-1 draw with Norwich on December 15 after undergoing surgery on an ankle problem.

Monk told the South Wales Evening Post: "I would say at this stage that Michu has a chance.

"He trained both days over the weekend and then had a rest on Monday, but he will be working from now on.

"And if he trains well over the next few days, he has definitely got a chance of being involved.

"He won't be starting I wouldn't have thought, but you never know."
