Swansea boss Laudrup heaps praise on Norwich striker Hooper

Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup is full of admiration for Norwich City striker Gary Hooper.

Laudrup admitted he would have loved to score Hooper's sublime volley in Norwich City's 1-1 Premier League weekend draw against the Welsh side.

"I would have loved to have scored a goal like that. Maybe he could have waited a week to score a goal like that," said Laudrup. "You have to say it was a fantastic goal. You could always argue about the fact there might be a problem with the distance between the two defenders and the midfield because it was a long ball and I think (Johan) Elmander just dropped it off on his chest and Hooper smashed it. Maybe the distance was too big between the two lines but the strike was fantastic.

"I liked what I saw from him. I think he mixed a lot of good movements. He is always a threat to a defence because of his movement. Norwich play that way with Elmander next to him and two strikers - not too many play that way these days but he is the type who can run off another player and if he scores goals like that then anything is possible."
