Swansea City boss Steve Cooper has played down the prospect of landing Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster.

Brewster is expected to leave Liverpool on loan in January, with a number of Championship clubs keen.

A move to the Liberty Stadium was said to be close but Cooper has played such speculation down.

He said, "We're going into January now. We're not going to get frustrated when we see other clubs that are bringing players in and have a few quid to spend.

"Hopefully we can keep hold of the players that we want. But there isn't any news on that either.

"It's not just one way traffic. They can go both ways, but there's no update on ins or outs."
