Swansea boss Carvalhal pleased with Leicester point: We've a poor history

Swansea City boss Carlos Carvalhal was happy with their 1-1 draw at Leicester City.

Fede Fernandez headed home his first goal of the season to cancel out Jamie Vardy's strike and earn his team a point.

“We are very happy to get a point because a point is like gold for us at the moment," Carvalhal said.

“I have said since I arrived that I will not look at the league table too much, but of course when you see that we are not under the water, we are happy.

“What's really important, though, is that we keep on progressing."

He added: “We are happy because the history of Swansea at Leicester is very poor. We haven't won here since 1950 and we lost the last seven, but we broke this run.

“We got a point and we need that in the position we are in."
