Swansea City's board were discussing Ryan Giggs' managerial prospects on Thursday.
The Daily Mail says they were deliberating about Giggs's lack of managerial experience on Thursday night as they weighed up an approach for the Manchester United legend.
The Welshman is on a shortlist of possible managers to take over if the club's American ownership dismiss Italian Francesco Guidolin.
There is a confidence at the club that Giggs would be open to talks if they did approach him.
But that is by no means certain, with owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien wanting to give time to Guidolin, 60, who signed a two-year contract four months ago.
