Suwon Bluewings eyeing success in Asian Champions League

Suwon Bluewings boss Cha Bum-kun insists he is targeting glory with the club in the Asian Champions League this season.

The Korean club are currently sitting on top of Group G and face Japanese club and past ACL winners Gamba Osaka away tonight and Cha says this match could be a perfect stepping stone to pushing on and enjoying success in Asia's biggest club competition.

"This is a meaningful tournament," he said.

"Suwon have won many titles in our league and have won this tournament in its old format.

"Korean teams such as Jeonbuk and Pohang have won the ACL. This is our third attempt and we would love to win the tournament.

"It will be a tough game but we want to win it and play the Round of 16 game at home."
