Suso has revealed he was all set to sign for Real Madrid before joining Liverpool.

The midfielder, currently on-loan at Sevilla from AC Milan, signed for the Reds from Cadiz ten years ago.

Suso told El Chiringuito, "At 15 I had it done with Madrid, but Liverpool came forward in the last days."

On Sevilla's season, he added: "In big clubs you are asked a lot. Being third in the League, playing well although there are things to improve and games in which we have relaxed and cost us points and in the Europa League we are also ahead.

"Now we were in a moment that if they told you at the beginning of the season we'd all have signed for it."
