Valencia's Superdeporte have hit out at Real Madrid and coach Carlo Ancelott after Sunday's controversy around Vinicius Jr.

Vinicius Jr was the subject of racist abuse from the Mestalla stands during Valencia's 1-0 win before his late dismissal for slapping Hugo Duro.

Valencia fans were condemned by Ancelotti, with Vini Jr hitting out at LaLiga and Spain in general.

In response, an editorial appeared in Superdeporte, stating: "There is a campaign from Madrid in a season in which Valencia and its fans have already been victims of referees and tremendously unfair decisions and we ask for respect for Mestalla. Valencia has been the team most harmed by the referees and specifically by the VAR.

“Vinicius responded with yet another lack of respect. Ancelotti put the Mestalla fans in the spotlight, by denouncing the false claim that the entire stadium had chanted 'monkey, monkey' to Vinicius instead of 'dumb, dumb'"

Meanwhile, the supporters' association for Valencian fan clubs has demanded Ancelotti to rectify: "We want to record Vinicius's repeated provocation to the entire stadium, something that everyone has been able to see, ending up expelled for assaulting a player and leaving the field of play making 'a segunda' gesture to the fans, for what we hope he will be sanctioned.

"We demand a rectification and an apology from the Real Madrid coach, D. Carlo Ancelotti, for calling the Mestalla stadium racist."

The Valencian newspaper also demands respect for Valencia fans: "The club demands the utmost respect for its fans for his exemplary behavior on Sunday at Mestalla and, at the same time, strongly condemns the Valencianistas who used racist insults at Vinícius from one of the stadium stands.

"They are perfectly compatible. Although the Madrid media roller does not want to understand it."
