SUPERCLASICO: Brazil vs. Argentina is 'no friendly'

Brazil and Argentina fans in Melbourne have declared Friday's 'Superclasico' clash will not be a friendly.

The two nations will face off in front of over 95,000 people at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Melbourne is a well-known hub of multiculturalism, with Brazilians and Argentinians well represented in the southern Australian city.

Speaking before the clash, Pedro Gonzalez, who moved to Australia from Buenos Aires 22 years ago said: "It is a friendly game, but still it is not a friendly for us,"

"Football is part of our blood, it is a passion."

Brazilian David Junior spoke of similar sentiments.

"When it comes to Brazil and Argentina there is no friendly match, it always goes to the last minute, it will be hard," he said.

"We are away from home and we are watching our team play against Argentina — it is not a World Cup, but it has the same feeling."
