Everton hat-trick hero Romelu Lukaku believes he and his teammates came away with a deserved result on Monday night.
The Toffees defeated Sunderland 3-0at the Stadium of Light with Lukaku netting all three goals after a subpar opening 45 minutes from the visitors.
Of the eventual victory, Lukaku told Sky Sports: "I think we could have done better, especially in the first half.
"Up front we didn't keep the ball and create enough. But the second half we performed way better and it was deserved win."
The result sees Ronald Koeman's undefeated side move up to third place on the Premier League table with 10 points from four matches.
