Darren Bent will return to Sunderland's squad for this weekend's clash with Everton at the Stadium of Light.
The 26-year old star striker, who has scored six goals in 10 matches this term, was forced out of the past three Black Cats fixtures with a hamstring tear but has confirmed that he will be back in action.
Bent wrote on his Twitter page: "First training session back today can't wait am buzzing."
The likely return of Bent will be well-received by manager Steve Bruce who will get to deploy the England international to make a dynamic duo with the in-form Asamoah Gyan.
