Sunderland boss manager Sam Allardyce is following Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy.
The Sun says Allardyce has put Duffy on his summer wish list.
The Republic of Ireland star, 24, is hot property and would cost about £5million.
Duffy is a former Everton player.
